Brandon Deans is a member of the firm’s Business Law Group, where he advises businesses, entrepreneurs and investors across British Columbia on a broad range of matters, including:

• Company formation and structuring
• Start-up matters and venture capital
• Equity and debt financings
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Corporate reorganizations
• Corporate governance and securities law compliance
• General corporate and commercial matters

Brandon has particular expertise advising start-ups and emerging growth companies throughout their lifecycles, from inception to exit. He also has extensive experience advising public and private companies on capital markets transactions and securities law compliance.

Brandon has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada as “One to Watch” in Mergers and Acquisitions Law (2022–2025) and Securities Law (2022, 2025).

Prior to joining Reed Pope, Brandon practiced as a senior associate in the Emerging Technology and Venture Capital Group at the Vancouver office of a national law firm and as an associate at a leading boutique securities law firm in Vancouver.

Outside of the office, Brandon enjoys exploring Vancouver Island and traveling with his family. A lifelong basketball fan, he has been closely following the NBA for over 25 years.
